CENTURION is, in my opinion, a little shining masterpiece.
Of course it's too modern in sensibility, but CINEMA is an art form in its own, and it is not supposed to follow History's paths.
Moreover I think it's worthy finding, how many directors can create modern versions of ancient stories, sagas or legends....

It's so good I've bought it twice!
I bought it on DVD when it came out after having watched it on TV and having just bought a ndew HD TV and a Blu-ray player I bought it again as on Blu-ray as it's such a good price on Amazon.
It is truly the best thing I've ever seen on TV.
The quality of the Blu-ray version...

An excellent film. Gripping , exciting, funny, and all you could ask for in an action comic book superhero film.

I can only think that the few negative reviews are by those offended by the extreme aspects of the film (violence and swearing, often from a young girl) and left unimpressed by what they see as 'junvenile' humour....
