This is one of the most expensive portable dvd players around and the picture quality and sound makes up for the price.It doesn't come with a remote and those with big fingers will find it annoying fiddling on the small buttons.I have not used it with the battery pack so no comment on the battery life.The player does make a grinding and clicking noise when a dvd is first put on the unit but I have been to...

I bought this DVD player with a bit of a heavy heart. I have an excellent portable player already, it does everything I want and was well worth its hefty price tag. I don't like packing it in a suitase for holidays due to the likely damage. I looked online for a budget DVD player that would be good for a holiday and that I would be happy to risk taking in luggage.

Why the heavy heart...? ...because at this price I knew there would be compromises...

As with all these products, they can take so many DVDS/CDs then they start to get hard to use, the pages are not the best to turn when full however it will be the same with all CD/DVD wallets and for one at this price that holds so many discs, you cant complain, i would reccomend it.

I bought this to replace an old DVD player which did not have an HDMI outlet to link up to my Panasonic HD TV. I found it easy to set up and the 1080p up-scale provides a very good picture quality. The Viera link is handy as I can use the TV remote for the basic DVD controls. If, like me, you have an HD TV but are not looking to buy a blue ray player then this is a good DVD player to purchase.

I mistakenly purchased this player the picture is VERY POOR and so dark it's very difficult to watch, even turning up the brightness to maximum it still didn't deliver. The picture quality was so bad i could almost count the pixels, it reminded me of the old 625 lines we used to view TV in the past, perhaps im biased because of watching a fully HD telly and sky HD?
